A lack of professionalism runs wild in this place. All has been reported to a lawyer who will be filing legal action. We were told it was just in time due to the blood clots. We eventually had to ambulance her to the ER. So she lay wet and in pain for several days as we desperately reached out for River's Edge assistance that never came. Samantha’s failure to process my aunts medical needs caused her to feel waaaaaaay more pain than she should have had to endure and also contributed to blood clots forming in her legs as a result of having no one trained to mobilize her or even change her diaper. What a BS excuse! I also called Monica, the Director of Nursing just as often, if not more, and heard nothing in response either. As if I’m not aware that she was supposed to have the common courtesy and professionalism to return my call and advise of the authorization that was extremally easy to obtain. I repeatedly called Samantha, but she ignored every VM and message I left with other staff claiming she couldn't contact me bcuz I wasn't listed authorized. Unable to stand, get out of bed, use the restroom or any other daily activities, she was bedridden, in excruciating pain and should have never been discharged without proper care. My Aunt suffered from broken ribs, multiple fractures traveling along her lower limbs, surgically implanted screws and plate, as well as very painful lumbar and sciatic nerve injuries. Samantha lied and said that my aunts insurance company denied her service when in reality she never even put the paperwork in which was confirmed by multiple reps from the Ins Co. After several surgeries, she unfortunately ended up at River's Edge for Rehab where she was prematurely discharged due to their Social Worker Samantha dropping the ball on setting up in-home nursing care. This place is absolutely dreadful! My Aunt, a senior citizen, was hit by an SUV.
